Our col­lec­tion boasts over 2500 items and we are cur­rent­ly work­ing hard to digi­tise objects and make them acces­si­ble. The col­lec­tion includes a library, archives, objects from the Old Gaol, pho­tographs, objects and ephemera relat­ing to wom­en’s lives in Australia.

This Eng­lish mag­a­zine appears to be the only sur­viv­ing copy in Aus­tralia and pos­si­bly the world. 

The World and His Wife, A Month­ly Mag­a­zine for the Home, Dec 1906 is in excel­lent con­di­tion and pro­vides fas­ci­nat­ing insights into wom­en’s lives over a cen­tu­ry ago.
