  • Video - Peg Nelson and Jean Hayes- an afternoon chat with Jim “Jimpi” Hayes, John Williamson and Chris Tangey

It was rare in the 21st century that you could talk to people who saw the first train and plane arrive in their town (Alice Springs) and even heard the first "wireless". Now both gone, there are many things to learn from this conversation with the Bloomfield sisters of Loves creek station, not least the proper pronunciation of "Oodnadatta"! Thanks to the Hayes family for allowing us to share this.
